| Nantou, Taiwan, Jan. 6th, 2011 – Universal Scientific Industrial Co., Ltd. (“USI”, the “Company” or “We"), a leading global design and manufacturing service (DMS) company, announced its consolidated net revenue for Dec., 2010.
Consolidated monthly net revenue in Dec. amounted to NT$5,393 million, down 11% sequentially and up 6% year-over-year. On a non-consolidated basis, monthly net revenue was NT$1,236 million, down 8% sequentially and down 50% year-over-year.
Revenue performances by major product line (See Note for business line re-classification):
- Computers & Peripherals (Revenue Weight: 12%): Net revenue in Dec. amounted to NT$673 million, down 6% sequentially and down 57% year-over-year.
- Electronics Packaging & EMS (Revenue Weight: 19%): Net revenue in Dec. was NT$1,011 million, down 13% sequentially and down 17% from the same period last year.
- Communications (Revenue Weight: 42%): Net revenue in Dec. amounted to NT$2,250 million, down 16% sequentially and up 125% from the same period last year.
- Network Storage & Servers (Revenue Weight: 9%): Net revenue in Dec. amounted to NT$490 million, up 11% sequentially and up 5% year-over-year.
- Industrial & Automotive Products (Revenue Weight: 18%): Net revenue in Dec. for the product line was NT$969 million, down 11% sequentially and up 17% year-over-year.
